As a Software Support Specialist with Vanderlande Industries you are part of a global IT organization whose goal is to deliver exceptional IT services to support the company’s business goals. Your primary mission is to provide excellent support for the organization's software applications ensuring our employees perform at the highest level using the tools we provide. Successful candidates possess strong communication skills and can explain technical issues to non-technical employees.

Job & Responsibilities:

  • Train employees one-on-one, in a classroom setting or via Skype
  • Create reference materials, as well as deliver technical instruction to the help desk and other teams within the organization
  • Provide first line support for application troubleshooting and coordinate efforts with the help desk to resolve issues quickly
  • Provide tips and tricks to knowledgeable users to increase their competence and efficiency
  • Document, track and report issues in software operation
  • Facilitate implementation of new software or major updates
  • Work in close collaboration with IT specialists at the corporate office to stay informed of upcoming changes or current issues with software they host
  • Participate in business meetings and suggest changes in software support processes based on observations
  • Take part in pilot testing for new software releases or updates and report issues as needed
  • Stay focused on primary task – improve employee productivity

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5 years’ experience with technical training and software support
  • 2-3 years’ experience within a helpdesk / support environment is preferred
  • Industry certifications are preferred, i.e. MCT, CTT+
  • Detail oriented and possess excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Software skillset includes:
  • Windows 10
  • SharePoint 2010/2013/2016
  • Office 365
  • Skype for Business
  • OneDrive
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and efficiently as new workflow systems and software packages are introduced
