IT application consultant Logistics

Within this role, based within IT, you support the daily operations of our core tools by solving incidents and service requests, monitor integrations and contribute to global roll outs. You work together with business, IT specialists, IT architects and supporting partners. 

Your role

Together with the team you are responsible for providing support and contribute to the roll out of our Mobile Logistics Application. The application is built on top of the ERP-system to manage logistic processes at customer sites and in Distribution Centers globally. Besides supporting the application you are also focusing monitoring integrations with the Mobile Logistics Application. For version upgrades and implementation of new patches you execute tests together with our IT supplier. Furthermore, you are able to deep dive in application to solve and prevent issues in the application. You do this by monitoring performance and interfaces, check and investigate XMLs or discuss the issues with other IT colleagues or the supplier.

You are also able to understand functional processes, to support your colleagues with solving functional issues with a technical root cause.

Your tasks:

• Solving incidents and answering questions from users.

• Investigate problems for root cause analysis and contribute to the implementation of problem solutions.

• Contribute to roll out project of the Mobile Logistic Application. 

• Coordinate and test new software releases and patches of suppliers.

• Coordinate the installation of software on hardware devices.

• Monitor integrations.

• Application maintenance of applications supported by department BIS Operations.

Your department

The department Corporate IT consists of 9 teams who are responsible for the development and maintenance of the infrastructure and the IT systems, which are separated in sub teams. The team BIS Operations (Business Information Systems Operations) consists of approximately 10 technical and functional specialists and is responsible for the stability, maintenance and optimization of multiple business applications.

The department is responsible for the business applications worldwide for Vanderlande In the area of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Service and Human Resources.

Your profile

• You have a MBO+ or Bachelor degree or work experience on this level.

• You have a degree in IT or application maintenance, affinity with IT is a must.

• Analytical, able to find root causes of issues and to solve  these issues.

• Structured and precise.

• Communicational skills.

• Knowledge of ERP JD Edwards is a pre.

• You are fluent in English (both spoken and written), being fluent in Dutch is a pre
