As Controls Development Engineer, your main focus is to make engineering more efficient by creating standardized products in clever tooling. Together with Sales, R&D, Service and Engineering, you will determine which products should be standardized. Based on project experience, standard layouts from Sales/systems and products from R&D, you will translate this into clear application rules and standard layout/schematic solutions.
Your scope will be multidisciplinary (mainly on OT software). You will act as the expert for all disciplines and departments, gaining knowledge from each project and take these lessons learned to finally translate this into the right content for the tooling of your discipline. Whilst doing so, you will focus on customer needs as well as on cost of execution and service.
You will be part of the Platform Development team and you will report to the Project Leader of the Functional Module Support within our Engineering Support Office.
Even though Veghel will be your base location, you’ll be expected to travel to see your solutions in practice and gather feedback to further improve.
Your team is part of the Platform Development team for Equipment modules. This is a newly created co-development team between R&D and Engineering and plays an important role in the execution of projects to deliver total solutions to our customer.
You have a bachelor (HBO) or master degree in Controls Engineering or Mechatronics. Relevant experience in material handling is considered a plus, however, we warmly welcome young graduates to apply for this position.
Furthermore, you have/are:
- Proactive, pragmatic and interested in technology
- Able to operate in and across different teams and departments
- An analytical mindset – you are able to analyze and structure highly diverse information into tangible solutions
- A multidisciplinary way of thinking (interfacing with mechanical and software)
- Affinity with tooling and other disciplines is considered a plus
- A willingness to travel (20%)
