Controls Support Engineer – Onsite at a State-of-the-Art Automated Facility in Moorebank, Sydney.

As a Controls Support Engineer, you will be at the heart of Vanderlande’s cutting-edge automated facility in Moorebank, Sydney, ensuring our world-class logistics systems run smoothly for our customers.
This is more than just fixing issues – you’re the frontline expert, diving deep into root cause analysis to prevent future disruptions. You’ll be the go-to specialist for high-level software challenges, collaborating with global service desks, the Melbourne team, and on-site service teams to keep operations running seamlessly, 24/7.
Main responsibilities
- Incident management for Vanderlande-designed material handling solutions
- Own the system – Quickly resolve high-level software issues and keep things moving2.
- Think beyond the fix – Perform root cause analysis and look for long-term solutions.
- Be the expert – Log and process customer requests in our ITSM system.
- Be flexible – Work Monday to Friday between 06:00 – 22:00 onsite, with weekend on-call rotations
Job Requirements
- Education at bachelor (or higher) level, technical or IT subject matter
- Ideally experienced in software development of automated logistics systems.
- A technical mindset (automation experience is a plus, but we’ll train you!)
- Strong experience in controls technology.
- Preferred IT background, data analysis, Splunk, Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana), and ASP solutions
- Good knowledge of Oracle PL / SQL, C ++, C #, and Java
- Excellent English language skills
- Eager to learn and motivated for achievements
- Preferably experienced in working for an international company
- Willing to travel internationally up to 30%
- Prepared to participate in a weekend standby rotation
- Hold full working rights to work in Australia (Permanent residency or citizenship).
