HR supports the organisation’s workforce in line with its core values. The department is responsible for resource management and overseeing all aspects of employment. Its main challenge is to ensure that information regarding Vanderlande’s global employees is organized correctly in Workday – the company’s invaluable HR system.
It also connects existing – and potential – employees through its policies on benefits and compensation, and labour market branding and recruitment. This is achieved in adherence with Vanderlande’s corporate strategy, and communicated through the company’s social media channels.
HR also facilitates training and development, through industry-leading courses in the Vanderlande Academy, and personal progression in the talent development programs. It has a positive influence on individual performance levels, identifying talented personnel and succession planning. The department is also proactive on health and safety management, and has a keen awareness of Vanderlande’s corporate social responsibility policy
