  • Your department

    The department of Research and Development (R&D) plays a key role in the continuous investments in development of new products and technologies in order to strengthen our position and differentiate our products.

    Your position

    As Senior Automation Engineer (PLC) you design, develop and test (in Vanderlande’s Innovation Center) our PLC controlled systems / Siemens S7. You draw up the requirements for the systems and develop efficient and effective solutions together with the multidisciplinary project team. In addition, you analyze risks, solve problems and make improvements during the life-cycle of a product.

    These products will be used as building blocks by the Engineering department, who will subsequently integrate them into the systems for our clients worldwide. When necessary, you will support your colleagues in this integration process.

    Your profile

    • You have a bachelor and/or university degree in a relevant technical subject;
    • You have at least 4 years of relevant work experience;
    • You have experience with PLC applications (preferably Siemens S7 with STL knowledge) and electromechanical applications;
    • You are entrepreneurial, proactive and contribute to the further development of this competency;
    • You will be given the opportunity to travel worldwide, up to a maximum of 10%.
