Your position

As a Sales Engineer, you will be working closely with the Sales Manager and Sales Consultant on activities regarding the project pre-contract phase to ensure a successful project sale. As part of the dynamic and multidisciplinary sales team, your goal is to identify and analyze the customer’s needs and transfer those into a successful sales concept.

During the sales process you will work on the concepts and quotation and you will be involved in the handover phase to operations. For the internal organisation you are the central key person on technical and concept specifications in relation to the project.

Your department

The Customer Centre Warehousing and Parcel International (CC WP INT) is active throughout the world. The Sales organization of WP INT is organized in 3 market segments: General Merchandise / Fashion, Food and Parcel. Vanderlande Industries in Russia WP is part of CC WP INT.

To keep pace with the current and expected future growth, we are looking for a Sales Engineer. Your contribution will further increase the Vanderlande market coverage, and successfully develop the Warehousing & Parcel market segment.

Your profile
As a Sales Engineer you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a strong preference to work within a business to business environment;
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience;
  • Experience in working within an international professional environment, preferably a project organization;
  • Knowledge of logistics operations in general, logistics concepts of an industrial sector (food, pharmacy,parcel etc), computer systems concepts in the logistics environment, calculations of work performance and personal information;
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to use your logistic skills in analyzing and understanding customer processes, creating concept solutions;
  • Strong communicational skills, you have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships
