The role will be part of the Software Engineering based in Marietta Georgia, a hands on role, you will be responsible for supporting software implementation (installation and configuration) and testing for customer projects. Within this role, expertise will be provided at all stages of the project to ensure successful delivery.

 The Software Integration role is to ensure all applications and are robust, perform well, and can recover quickly and successfully on the High Availability platforms for the Material Handling Systems.

Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):

  • Strong Understanding of the following:
    • Minimum of 5 years of Database technologies – Oracle/MSSQL
    • WebLogic
    • LINUX/Windows Environments
  • Assist in training and developing Project and Service Engineers, to strengthen their support capabilities
  • Work with Project and Service teams, third party vendors and integrators to deliver  systems .
  • Troubleshoot performance for IT systems/applications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning of databases
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Administration and associated tools.   
  • A good understanding IT infrastructure (e.g. Server/Client, VMWare)

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good interpersonal skills (work well within a team)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical abilities, and able to put forward recommendations.
  • Able to work unsupervised, take initiative and resolve issues

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, out of hours work will on occasion be necessary.

This position provides advanced support for 24/7 operations and on-call coverage as part of a rotation will be required, alongside travel to customer sites. 

Travel:

This position will requires some travel for training, and travel to sites for projects (up to 30%).

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct reports.

Other Duties:

3rd Line Escalation for Airport IT Services for major IT Application/Middleware incidents.
