 ICT (Information and Communication Technology) business partnering involves collaboration between ICT professionals and business stakeholders. It ensures that ICT initiatives seamlessly integrate with overall business strategy, enhancing efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in today’s dynamic digital landscape.   

Business Architecture is the practice of designing and implementing business solutions that align with an organization's overall strategy and goals. It involves understanding the organization's business processes, systems, and data structures, and identifying opportunities for improvement. 

The goal of business architecture is to clarify the business needs and translate that into solution designs that ensure that ICT can effectively achieve the goals of the business.  

ABOUT THE ROLE 

The Business Architect Technology plays a strategic role, connecting ICT technology with business imperatives. This professional collaborates closely with stakeholders to design, optimize, and implement solutions within the Technology Domain. Beyond ICT aspects, the focus extends to business alignment, partnership, and roadmap synchronization. The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and ICT understanding to design and implement solutions that support the objectives of Vanderlande and Business Unit (BU) Technology. You will report the to the Value Chain Architect Develop Market Leading Solutions (DMLS). 

Business Architect technology is a strategic and operational role, responsible for designing and implementing business solutions that align with the strategy and goals of Vanderlande and BU Technology. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design solutions that support the Technology organization's objectives. Business architect Technology is a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of (agile) Product Development, business, and ICT.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Develop and implement business solutions that align with the organization's overall strategy. 

Collaborate with ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and other cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are technically feasible and supportable. 

Ensure the maintainability and scalability of business architecture solutions. 

Identify and analyze business needs and opportunities for improvement. 

Ensure alignment between business and ICT goals and strategies. 

Communicate and present solutions and related roadmap to stakeholders and executive management. 

Manage and communicate changes to the roadmap to stakeholders and advise on priorities and risks. 

Develop and maintain the business capabilities and related architecture, including processes, systems, data, people, and organization. 

Measure and report on the success of business architecture projects. 

Stay current with industry trends and advancements in business architecture. 

ABOUT THE TEAM 

The Business Architect Technology is part of the ICT Business Partnering Department within the ICT organization. The Business Partnering Department drives the alignment between the business and ICT to optimize the value delivered by the ICT department to the business. The Business Partnering Department is a multidisciplinary department with Value Chain/Business Architects and Project- and Portfolio Managers to manage the demand and delivery of ICT driven solutions.  

 YOUR PROFILE / QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant area (e.g., technology or innovation management) 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in business architecture or related field 

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, continuous improvement, business partnering

Experience with (agile) product development processes and systems. 

Excellent communication and presentation skills 

Understanding of enterprise architecture principles 

Experience working in a cross-functional team environment 

Strong project management skills 

Flexibility to travel internationally 

Fluent in English, other languages

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4607,25 to 6186,88 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
