The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing the efficiency and performance of the baggage handling system at the Airport. This position involves analyzing data, identifying process improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions to streamline baggage handling operations.
- Collect and analyze operational data related to baggage handling processes.
- Identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement in the system's performance.
- Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess current baggage handling processes.
- Communicate performance status and improvement actions internally and with customers.
- Develop and communicate business cases for improvements.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies and workflows.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Implement monitoring systems to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to baggage handling.
- Proactively identify issues and areas requiring immediate attention.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, improvements, and data analysis.
- Generate regular reports on system performance and improvement initiatives.
- Train staff on new processes and best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
- Preferred relevant working experience in logistics or technical environment.
- 3 + years of relevant working experience in industrial systems.
- Proven experience in data analysis, process engineering, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, and SQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Tableau and/or Splunk knowledge preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (customer-facing role).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
