Job Description:

Vanderlande understands the complexities associated with a successful airport and parcel operation and delivers future-proof logistic process automation. These automation systems are composed of many Electromechanical, IT, and control components that require expert knowledge to support.
As a Business Intelligence / Database Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights for optimizing baggage handling operations at airports. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide valuable insights to our clients and internal teams. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and reliability of baggage handling systems in airports.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect and consolidate data from baggage handling systems and databases.
- Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact baggage handling operations.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify areas for performance improvement and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Document data analysis processes, findings, and recommendations for internal and client reference.
- Communicate data insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead multidisciplinary continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and improve methods to gain and use relevant performance data.
- Evaluate and improve system, process, and maintenance performance.
- Develop and communicate a business case for improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field of study.
- Preferably you have a good understanding of IT service management practices (ITIL v3/v4)
- A Preferred relevant working experience in a logistics or technical environment.
- 5 + years of relevant working experience in industrial systems.
- Proven experience in data analysis and database management.
- Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Splunk), and database management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
