Description of the assignment
As a Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for managing costs for various Supply Chain categories, such as wheels, rollers, extrusion parts, motors, control cabinets, and pneumatic equipment, among others. With over 120 categories to manage, you will have plenty of opportunities to deep dive into each category and develop a cost (price) model for it. Parts are purchased for years, so there is a lot of historical data.
In this assignment, you will support our Sourcing Managers and Buyers during project development by providing valuable insights into the cost drivers for each category. What is there influence on the price?
By analyzing historical data, you will identify the factors that influence the price of each category and develop accurate and fact-based estimations and budgets for the wider VI organization. One at a time and preferably to be used on global level.
