Job purpose statement
- Manage the maintenance crew and activities of the service contract.
- Proactively locate improvement opportunities in maintenance processes and activities.
Scope
- Maintenance management for the baggage handling system and client relationship management, as specified in the contract.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers.
- Direct streamlined communication with the client to ensure maximum synergy between different maintenance functions of the airport facility and the automated baggage handling system.
- Having direct contact with client management to create prospects.
- Keeps in close contact with head office for maintenance activities.
Qualification and abilities
- High level technical education.
- Have electrical, mechanical and control knowledge (high technical education).
- 10 years’ experience in technical function (electrical and mechanical).
- 5 years’ experience in management / team leader function.
- Team builder/motivator/coach. Lead by example.
- English proficiency with high level skills of verbal and written communication.
- Proper communication capabilities.
- Problem solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Manage the site-based maintenance crew.
- Improve performance of the automated baggage handling system and the maintenance crew.
- Performance communication internally and with the client.
- Locating improvement opportunities.
- Spare parts management and optimization.
- CMMS and tooling.
- Warranty management.
- Budget control.
- Co-ordination with other stakeholders and contractors.
- Co-ordination with service desk for second- and third-line support.
- Continuous focus on health and safety.
- Site representative of Vanderlande Industries for all maintenance activities.
- Take lead during break down and maintain high system availability.
- Ensure all maintenance related KPIs are met.
- Business functions focused and entrepreneurship mindset.

- Manage maintenance teams and shift schedules.
- Responsible for PM/CM/EM related activities.
- Based on experience plan predictive maintenance.
- Ensure optimal manpower & skills distribution.
- Schedule and distribute activities.
- Locate improvement opportunities, make improvement plan and execute / distribute improvement plan.
- Rotates staff to ensure wider levels of competence and coverage.
- Commits to and drives performance improvement.
- Will liaise with operations manager on the impact of maintenance activities deliverable on day-to-day basis as required for operations.
- Methodologically analyzing and improving departmental processes, such as people development.
