What will you be doing
Your position as Service Desk Shift Supervisor is a dynamic and challenging role. You are primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of a service team supporting a wide range of automated solutions. Particular focus is required to maintain timely professional communication facilitating incident resolution. There are a multitude of activities that form your day-to-day responsibility.
Within this professional working environment, your managerial tasks involve overseeing and coordinating the team to achieve departmental and organizational goals. This includes task planning, organising staffing, decision-making, and problem-solving. Supervisors assign roles, train employees, provide guidance, coaching and monitor performance. Possessing strong and effective communicational skills are pivotal in this role.
You will report to the manager Service Desk 1st and 2nd line.

- Completed education in which you have been able to show a Bachelor working and thinking level;
- Experience in managing a team of service engineers;
- Affinity and/or work experience with Vanderlande's business;
- You have a "Customer First" mindset, where your communication skills and proactive attitude make the difference;
- You take end-to-end responsibility for the Service Desk process, where you are strongly result-driven;
- You have a keen analytical mind;
- You are familiar with the ITIL methodologies;
- Good command of the Dutch and English language.
- Flexibility to work in a team in a 24/7 shift schedule.
About the team
The Business Unit (BU) Warehouse Solutions is responsible for the development and implementation of life-cycle services to our systems worldwide. As a 1st-line Service Desk Shift Supervisor, you and your team, comprising of 1st and 2nd line engineers, are part of the 1st-line International Service Desk within the Service Deployment Group (SDG ) department. The BU Warehouse Solutions is internationally responsible for the operational (service) execution within our Warehousing and Airports & Parcel market segments and consists of 300 colleagues worldwide.
The 1st-line Service Desk is the first point of contact for our customers, the department strives to deliver first time right quality solutions to ensure our customers satisfaction. Key functions include incident and service request handling, system analysis and escalating to support disciplines, when required, to provide solutions. The team is end-to-end responsible for the creation and management of these solutions. This makes the 1st-line Service Desk a dynamic and varied working environment where work is performed in a 5-shift (24/7) schedule.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €3,600 to €5,300 gross per month (excluding 8% vacation pay). When exceeding performance expectations, you even have the opportunity to grow beyond this scale.
