About Role
As an Integration Engineer at Vanderlande, you will lead the integration of control components for automated material handling systems. Your role involves defining integration strategies based on system architecture, preparing interface control documents, and minimizing integration efforts with third-party systems. You will manage technical risks, ensure compliance with standards, and coordinate testing activities to verify system quality and reliability. Your contributions will drive successful project outcomes and promote best practices in testing within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Integration Coordination:
– Define integration of various low-level controls (e.g. PLC), High Level Controls (Software) components for automated material/baggage handling system projects.
– Define approach and strategies based on system architecture and dependencies.
– Prepare interface control document of communication with third party systems.
– Function as a liaison with third parties and subcontractors to minimize integration efforts.
- Risk Management:
– Identify and manage technical risks related to defined functionalities, system integrations, and health and safety concerns of the proposed solution.
– Coordinate risk identification processes across multidisciplinary teams and ensure mitigation plans are developed and implemented.
- Assure Quality:
– Ensure compliance with Project, system & industry standard requirements and specifications.
– Verify requirement coverage and availability of necessary test-related deliverables.
– Oversee configuration management to maintain version control of deliverables and facilitate iterative development.
- Test Execution Coordination:
– Develop test designs and plans based on system design, risk analysis, and customer requirements.
– Define regression test scopes and conduct tests to verify system quality and reliability.
– Configure and set up test environments, including necessary test tooling.
– Implement test cases, scripts, and stubs, preparing for both factory (IFT) and site (IST) testing.
– Analyze test results and generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Support Project Team:
– Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary project teams in implementing and verifying components.
– Review requirements, designs, and test documentation for consistency and testability.

Desired Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 Years of proven experience in integration and testing, with firsthand knowledge of test tools such as HP Quality Center.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering and/or Software Development methodologies.
- Ability to write comprehensive test cases based on given requirements.
- Familiarity with various test design techniques and principles of functional and non-functional testing.
- Ability to represent and promote testing best practices within project teams.
