Your Assignment
At Vanderlande, we are expanding efforts to remanufacture spare parts retrieved from our service business. Many parts replaced at customer sites still contain valuable components that can be reused. To scale up, we need to identify which parts are most suitable for remanufacturing, based on factors like annual volume, residual value, and environmental impact. We aim to develop an assessment method, such as a decision tree, to help our product development, supply chain, and service teams select the best parts for remanufacturing.
Your Department
At Vanderlande, our Corporate Sustainability Team leads the company’s sustainability transformation. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders from various departments, including product development, supply chain, and service engineering, gaining experience across the product development process. You’ll be encouraged to approach your project independently and apply your knowledge in a structured, practical way. Develop a methodology to quantify production waste.
