Assignment
In the current labor market, where there is a shortage of workers, our customers aim to provide the best possible working environment for their employees. One of the objectives to achieve this is to lower the noise levels in the workplace. However, this poses a challenge as there is a conflict between the increasing demand for system capacity and noise reduction – higher capacity usually results in increased noise levels.
One of Vanderlande's sorting systems is the cross belt sorter. A component of this system, known as the induct, generates a noise level that is higher than desired. The aim of the assignment is to design and validate solutions that can reduce the equipment's noise level.
