Internship: EPLAN Electric P8 Design Exploration
It’s great to work for a global brand such as Vanderlande, which is a leading technological innovator. I’d already heard about them owing to their airport systems, and I am familiar with sorting systems in distribution centres. After my first meeting for an internship, I was delighted to be given an opportunity at Vanderlande’s R&D Electromechanics department.
During my training course, I was involved in many ongoing cases. Not only those that were important to me in the short term, but also in the long term. As a result, I really felt like part of the team and certainly not just a number in the company.
In my current role, I am busy optimising ‘EPLAN Electric P8’. As such, I am developing a new way of drawing electric schemes in which the emphasis is on making efficient use of the central data point of EPLAN Electric P8. My research will lead to a reduction of errors and engineering time, as well as the creation of efficient designs containing a more detailed overview and structure.
