The HR Shared Services Consultant (internally referred to as HR Service Excellence Specialist) is responsible for the management and execution of service delivery improvement projects with a main focus on end-to-end process optimization, VOC initiatives and metrics and dashboard development, driving a metrics based culture. Projects are defined in close collaboration with the People Services Director for Americas and the Global People Services Shared Services Director and are aligned with the prioritization coming from the Global Shared Services Center. The HR Shared Services Consultant is part of the HR Service Excellence Team and responsible for developing best practice ways of working within Americas. He/she has a responsibility to lead by example on the implementation of the new way of working within the global HR community. He/she monitors the performance of HR Services for the region and is responsible for driving the continuous improvement cycle for the region.

Vision, Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead and execute the HR service delivery improvement projects, strongly aligned with the global HR Shared Services Center

  • Provide pro-active and tactical advice and solutions to the People Services Director for Americas and the local teams on Service Excellence matters and translates these into an action plan which is monitored till completion.

  • Develop, understand and analyze metrics to identify opportunities that contribute to an continuous improvement of our Service Excellence and with that our employee/manager experience

  • You possess knowledge of HR, CI tools and processes, roles and responsibilities in the People Service organization as well as our stakeholders

Operational Delivery

  • Impact projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline

  • Take new perspective on existing solutions. 

  • Responsible for analyzing metrics, define focus areas on improvements as well as achievements ensuring follow up actions are taken

  • Define priorities related to Service Excellence and partner with the stakeholders to ensure these priorities are embedded into the projects and new initiatives

  • Seek alignment and uses change management techniques to ensure adaptation of new ways

  • Leverage technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions

  • Accountable for having and maintaining up-to-date deep functional knowledge to support with key moments that matter during the employee lifecycle

  • Possess a strong working knowledge of enabling technologies, systems (e.g. Workday) and processes, ensuring high quality service delivery

Continuous Improvement

  • Responsible for collaborating with People Services Directors Americas to understand and implement processes, focusing on employee experience and continuous improvement of compensation & benefits processes

  • Responsible for identifying service issues, proactively proposing improvements and leading or supporting the implementation of changes

  • Partners with CoE teams to share (local) business demands/developments and to ensure alignment on policies and programs 

  • Be part of (one or more) Capability Expert Communities to bring in the functional perspective in the overall maintenance and improvement of the HR Capabilities

Other:

  • Good working knowledge of LEAN, intermediate accreditation required

  • Preferable familiar with ITIL (Service processes)

  • Communicate complex information to others in straightforward situations.

  • Deep knowledge of local legal frameworks and best practices in the region

  • Highly analytical data fluent, IT savvy

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute program

  • Strong project management skills

  • Possesses the relevant language skills set, therefore is effectively able to provide services in the local context

  • Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems

  • Bachelor or Master degree in HR / Business

  • 5 years' of generalist in HR experience
