As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our airport's baggage handling infrastructure. Your expertise and attention to detail will directly contribute to providing a seamless travel experience for countless passengers daily.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on the Baggage Handling System (BHS) equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within the BHS system swiftly and effectively.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Comply with customer site rules and regulations, fostering a positive client relationship.
  • Strictly adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others.
  • Comply with airport regulations and safety standards while carrying out maintenance tasks.
  • Execute maintenance work efficiently and uphold high-quality standards.
  • Assist in equipment modification, replacement, and the installation of new assets.
  • Stay updated with the latest BHS technologies and actively participate in relevant training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar role.
  • Proven expertise in maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting of industrial equipment, preferably in baggage handling systems or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting electrical control panels, drives, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in working with Material Handling Systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster effective teamwork and communication within the maintenance team and across the airport.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure uninterrupted BHS operation.
  • In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
