Great things in business are achieved by our team of people
What we do
Marketing and Communication
Marketing and Communication is responsible for the positioning and profiling of Vanderlande. The department’s main challenge is to optimise the company’s image and brand awareness via all available marketing tools. This covers the four different types of communication: corporate and PR, marketing, internal and recruitment.
Marketing and Communication uses cross-platform tools to enhance our profile, such as advertising, PR, movies, trade exhibitions and events. It also uses various online communication tools, including social media.
Human Resources (HR)
HR supports the organisation’s workforce in line with its core values. The department is responsible for resource management and overseeing all aspects of employment. Its main challenge is to ensure that information regarding Vanderlande’s global employees is organised correctly in Workday – the company’s invaluable HR system.
It also connects existing – and potential – employees through its policies on benefits and compensation, and labour market branding and recruitment. This is achieved in adherence with Vanderlande’s corporate strategy, and communicated through the company’s social media channels.
HR also facilitates training and development, through industry-leading courses in the Vanderlande Academy, and personal progression in the talent development programs. It has a positive influence on individual performance levels, identifying talented personnel and succession planning. The department is also proactive on health and safety management, and has a keen awareness of Vanderlande’s corporate social responsibility policy.
Finance and Control
Business support and control are important drivers for the overall success of Vanderlande. The Finance and Control departments (Shared Service Centre, Business/Project Control, and Group Finance and Control) continuously supports the company in achieving its strategy of sustainable profitable growth. One of its core challenges is to act as a business partner by delivering reliable (management) information, and providing advice and constructive feedback.
Finance and Control also ensures that administrative processes are effective, efficient and properly executed to safeguard the reliability of information, which is predictable and mitigates potential risk. In addition, compliancy is an important goal for the department, as Vanderlande must comply with numerous internal and external regulations (eg tax and internal/external financial reporting).
The Facilities department is responsible for ensuring that all employees on site in Veghel have a well-organised, safe and welcoming environment in which to work. This is achieved by keeping the grounds, buildings, work spaces and other facilities in an optimal condition. Frequent evaluations are also important in identifying any areas of improvement and implementing these where necessary.
Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
The ICT department supports Vanderlande’s business objectives. It is responsible for delivering, innovating and building the necessary ICT services such as processes, information systems and infrastructure.
The Legal department is responsible for the provision of advisory services and ensuring the effective management of any legal or contractual risk. It also acts as a sparring partner for the business units’ senior managers regarding the legislative aspects of our activities.
