Your Role

As a Project Buyer, you play a specialised role actively engaged in our Warehousing projects. You utilise established methods, techniques, and tools in procurement, providing professional insights to inform decision-making and persuade project members or the project managers. 

Your responsibilities

  • Create and implement a comprehensive supply plan for procuring non-Vanderlande equipment, while effectively managing project procurement.

  • Manage and execute the procurement process.

  • Negotiate contracts tailored to project specifications.

  • Manage project specific contracts and supplier performance.

  • Influence multiple stakeholders at the regional level.

  • Take on the role of a seasoned collaborator in enhancing procurement processes and related procedures within project and departmental frameworks.

Your qualifications and skills

  • Minimum 5 years of working experience within procurement

  • A background in logistics or logistics automation is preferred. 

  • Prior experience in equipment procurement for projects is advantageous. 

  • Strong organisational and project management skills; adept at prioritising tasks effectively and meeting deadlines

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues across the company and external stakeholders.
