Your responsibilities

The Global Rewards discipline within Vanderlande is responsible for the global reward framework and its implementation in the countries. Its goal is to establish and maintain the Vanderlande global reward principles, keeping them aligned to a changing world.

You will be part of the Global Rewards team, which is one of 4 HR Centers of Expertise. It is in the transformation process towards having a truly global scope, The job location for this job is in our  EMEA region, more specifically Germany/Netherlands. You report directly into the Practice Lead Global Total Rewards.

You will thoroughly enjoy building a global expertise by supporting the design and implementing a global reward and job framework and governance structure. You are not satisfied with the status quo, but continuously look for improvements to ensure that Vanderlande stays market competitive and meets the needs of your key stakeholders. This requires you to be creative, flexible and innovative by nature.

Your qualifications and skills

If you are the experienced, enthusiastic and versatile Rewards Manager we are looking for, you will excel at:

  • Support the strategic and conceptual development of our global & local Total Reward initiatives, policies and processes in Vanderlande.

  • Support in the implementation and management of global total reward projects.

  • Solid experience with job grading and the ability to adapt and apply standard methodologies Research, evaluation and preparation of compensation & benefits benchmarks using the standard market data providers (HAY, Mercer, WTW, etc).

  • Provide a good proficiency in Excel along with strong analytical and quantitative skills Implement, manage and monitor the annual merit, STI and LTI process in close cooperation with the People Service teams  in the countries.

  • Monitoring of government regulations, legislation, and market trends.

  • Being able to think strategically – high level of conceptual thinking-and act pragmatically.

  • Preparation of Total Rewards  documentation, presentations and training materials.

  • Delivering feedback and best practice to improve our job and reward frameworks and processes.

  • Stakeholder management, being able to build relationships all over the organization (and the globe).

Preferred qualifications:

  • A bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant field of study.

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Total Rewards in-company role.

  • Global grading using HAY methodology & benchmarking experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with local Total Rewards set-ups within EMEA and other regions.

  • Knowledge about Workday capability to support the implementation of a holistic global job & reward program and governance structure.

  • Project management skills.

  • Strong Microsoft office skills in Excel, Power Point and Word.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English (other languages would be advantageous).

What we offer 

This position offers a competitive salary range of €6.960 to € 8.260 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale. On top of your fixed salary, you will receive the following secondary benefits:
