Your challenges 
In your role as Global Travel Specialist we’ll give you the opportunity to ensure and manage correct execution of the global travel program, take care of global internal and external stakeholder engagement, drive maximum compliance of our Travel Management Company (currently Egencia usage globally and act as superuser and be the first line support for the global business travellers and the Online Booking Tool. 

 

Your responsibilities  

As Global Travel Specialist you will work closely with your colleagues located in the Netherlands and India. You will have a global role for the operational responsibilities such as first line support for the OBT and the business travellers, auditing the suppliers and act as first consultant for out of policy bookings. Furthermore you will have a global role in relation to the correct execution of the global program, act as a mentor for your colleagues supporting the global travel program. You will support in preparing budgets, utilization and KPI performance management reporting, evaluate TMC diagnostics and run continuous data analysis to help steering and improving financial performance of the program. You will be part of a global team reporting to the Practice lead for International Mobility & Global Travel located in the Netherlands.  

 

Your Background 

As Global Travel Specialist you have a very diverse role and therefore flexibility and adaptability are important. You will have a high level of independency in your role, in turn for which we need your good judgement and decisiveness. Because we work with colleagues and suppliers across the globe it is vital that you enjoy working with different cultures and communicate effectively with a wide range of people across multiple regions and cultures. It is expected that you will bring profound experience as an operational travel expert but will also be able to bring the global travel program to the next level by continuously identifying and proposing improvements of the program, processes and tooling and execute these improvements to the benefit of Vanderlande and it’s global business travellers. 

Your qualifications and skills 

If you’re an experienced, self-propelling, enthusiastic and versatile Global Travel Specialist, you: 
 

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role but preferably more.

  • Experience in working with and managing a Travel Management Company and its processes; 

  • Expertise in establishing, developing and utilizing global travel data; 

  • RFP expertise for air, hotel, car, safety and payment solutions; 

  • Ability to continuously assess and optimize the travel program to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness and employee satisfaction; 

  • An excellent command of the English language, other languages are a plus; 

  • Experience on global travel sustainability initiatives and steering is a plus. 

 

Your offer 

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4.635  to 5.505  gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
